Cerium Building, Glasgow

As part of the refurbishment of the landmark Cerium Building in Glasgow, A1 Flue Systems was tasked to connect to three 100mm-diameter condensing boilers and a 130mm-diameter water heater.

Eclipse Blinds, Glasgow

We connected a new Spencer air handling unit through eight 400mm-diameter couplings, rising to a cross-branch with flanged access doors, then horizontally to a main header system – with incremental increases in diameter to 900mm

Library of Birmingham

The library’s central flue system had been badly damaged by an explosion. Investigations showed that the entire flue system serving the CHP unit would have to be replaced.

Epsom Downs Racecourse

The Duchess Stand project involved the connection to three existing pressure jet boilers, each rising into a 500mm-diameter sub-header system, running horizontally to connect into a main 1000mm square duct fan dilution system.

Bank of England Print Works

This project involved the replacement of two kitchen water heater flues. Hot water supply must be maintained at all times, so removal and installation had to be phased, taking down and replacing the flues one at a time.

Essex Brewery

A1 Flues was commissioned by DPC Plumbing & Heating to manufacture and install a flue system for two 80mm-diameter CHP units at this major new housing project in Walthamstow, East London.

Chester Zoo

Heygate Energy Centre

Old Market Hall - Ashton Market

Birmingham New Street Station

Stephenson Tower was demolished as part of the redevelopment of Birmingham New Street Station, and so alternative arrangements had to be made for the boiler flues - with a temporary flue system.

St Pancras Chambers

A1 Flue Systems removed all the old linings using specialist rope access team to abseil the interior of the chimney to remove old cast iron linings and replace with our specially manufactured stainless steel liners.

Manchester Co-Operative Head Office

20 Fenchurch Street

20 Fenchurch Street - better known as "the walkie-talkie" for its unusual shape has had four boiler flue systems. A fifth boiler flue has also been installed in order to "future proof" the installation against demands for an increase in capacity.
