The Royal London Hospital

The Royal London Hospital is a large teaching hospital in Whitechapel in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is part of Barts Health NHS Trust. It provides district general hospital services for the City of London and Tower Hamlets and specialist tertiary care services for patients from across London and elsewhere. The current hospital building has 1248 beds and 34 wards. It opened in February 2012.

This design, manufacture and installation involved

•Connecting individually to 5 No 500 diameter (700 o.d.) generator exhaust’s

•Connecting to 2 No 650 diameter (700 o.d.) Hoval thermocondensors (x12) each rising to sweep into a main 750 diameter (800 o.d.) header system.

•Connecting individually to 2 No 550 diameter (600 o.d.) Hoval THSD -1 6000 steam boilers

•Each of the flues have been supported from a purpose designed support post mounted at roof level terminating 12m above the slab level
