A1 Shortlisted for a Trio of Awards

We’re celebrating after receiving news that A1 Flue Systems will be a finalist at two prestigious awards ceremonies later this year.

The organisers of the Midlands Family Business Awards got in touch to tell us that we’ve been shortlisted for two categories – Family Business of the Year and Business Innovation.

And then the organisers of the industry-acclaimed HVR Awards announced that we were finalists for Contractor of the Year.

Both of these awards are a big deal to us. As the name suggests, the Family Business Awards recognise the achievements of family firms and we’re proud to be a successful three-generation business. The HVR Awards are massive in our industry and even being nominated is a real coup.

You’d think being nominated was the hard part and we could breathe easy, but no. We’ve got panel interviews at the Family Business Awards to go through and they’re going to be tough – especially as one of the judges is TV battle-axe Alex Polizzi, the star of the hit Channel Five show The Hotel Inspector.

Ms Polizzi is from one of the UK’s most famous family businesses herself so she’ll know better than most what she’s looking for when deciding who should scoop the honours.
